El 26 de agosto de 2025, IDEA Internacional, en colaboración con el Tribunal Electoral de Panamá, organizó un evento de apoyo técnico y asesoramiento de un día en la Ciudad de Panamá, como parte del proyecto Protección de Elecciones, financiado por el Gobierno de Canadá. Este evento, el tercero bajo el paraguas de Protección de Elecciones en Panamá, reunió a más de 30 participantes, entre ellos representantes del Tribunal, la Fiscalía General de la República, otros organismos estatales clave, la academia y organizaciones de la sociedad civil. Los debates se centraron en la identificación y mitigación de los riesgos de fraude y corrupción, con especial atención al financiamiento político y de campañas.
